DSA Planner ("we", "our", "us") is a free web application designed to help software developers prepare for technical interviews through:

• spaced repetition scheduling,
• AI-powered feedback,
• revision tracking,
• and personalized learning workflows.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

When you sign in via Google or GitHub OAuth, we receive and store:

• Your name and username
• Your email address
• Your profile avatar URL
• Your OAuth provider name (Google or GitHub)

We do not receive or store your Google or GitHub password.

If you sign in with GitHub, we store your GitHub OAuth access token solely to:

• Create and manage a private dsa-planner-data repository on your GitHub account
• Commit your practice sessions, AI insights, and weekly summaries to that repository

This token is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.

When you log a practice session, we may store:

• Question title, pattern, category, and difficulty
• Your code submissions
• Logic notes and personal notes
• Time taken and correctness
• Accuracy score
• AI-generated gap analysis and suggestions
• Spaced repetition data including:
  
  • ease factor
  • revision interval
  • next revision date

If you enable notifications, we may store:

• Preferred notification channels (email or Telegram)
• Telegram Chat ID (if provided)
• Preferred daily digest time

We collect limited server logs for operational and security purposes, including:

• IP address
• Request timestamps
• Pages visited

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics tools.

Your practice data sent to AI providers is used only to generate requested responses and is not used by us to train models.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information:

• Data is stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases hosted on Aiven Cloud
• GitHub access tokens are transmitted securely over HTTPS
• Passwords are never stored because authentication uses OAuth exclusively
• JWT tokens are used for secure session management and expire automatically

While we use industry-standard security practices, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

We retain your data as long as your account remains active.

To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact:

We aim to process deletion requests within 7 business days.

Your practice data stored inside your GitHub repository remains under your ownership independently of DSA Planner.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your stored data
• Correction — request corrections to inaccurate information
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — export or retain your GitHub-stored data
• Opt-out — disable notifications at any time

DSA Planner uses minimal session-based mechanisms to maintain login state.

We do not use:

• advertising cookies,
• behavioral tracking cookies,
• or third-party analytics cookies.

DSA Planner is intended for users aged 13 and above.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us immediately and we will remove the data promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When changes are made:

• the Effective Date at the top of this page will be updated,
